Royse City Troop 312 – Boy Scouts of America
October 2025 · Royse City, TX
We had a great evening last night with Royse City Troop 312 - Boy Scouts of America and Onyx Storm Roofing. I worked with Onyx after the hail storm in April to fix my roof and home. They were amazing to work with and even though most of them are not Scouts, they exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their actions.
The first time I met them was the day after the storm and they were tarping anyone's house that would allow them, and didn't ask for anything. They were out as a company being helpful after an extreme weather event.
While working with them, they offered an incentive if I chose them to fix the house, and in talking with them we were able to come up with a plan to get Royse City Troop 312 a top of the line Blackstone. This will be well loved and used by the Scouts and their fundraisers to buy needed equipment.
We had City representatives on hand — Mayor Janet Nichols, Richard Pense, and Tom Woody — to help thank them for the donation to the troop. This is a great company with a heart of service. Thank you Onyx!
